San Pablo Reservoir Fish Report for 2-13-2012
Trout fishing is excellent at the opening of San Pablo Reservoir, a 10 lb. trout tops the catches

Visitor Center and Boat Launch Hours: 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Starting in March the reservoir will be open until 6:00 PM
Trout Plants: So far this month San Pablo has received 7,500 lbs. of Mt. Lassen trout, with 1,500 lb. being trophy size. California Department of Fish and Game planted an additional 1,500 lbs. of catchable trout
Water Temperature: 53 degrees and the water level is 308 feet above sea level.
Trout fishermen are catching limits with varying sizes using PowerBait, nightcrawlers and red worms. One fisherman reported catching a catfish with a red worm. Shore fishing has been good at the main recreation center, the Pines, Oak Point and Sobrante Point. Across the lake between the Rock Wall and the buoy line, fishing has been excellent. Anglers reported catching limits within a few hours. Other hot spots have been Farrell's Landing, Bobber Beach, Sandy Point and Scow Canyon. Trolling with a Fire Tiger Rapala from the mouth of Scow Canyon to the Dam has also been successful.
