Trout and Stripers were the main attraction this week at Del Valle Lake

The Marina hours as of November 1st will change to 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM and the park hours to 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The store and the park are now closing two hours earlier. The water temperature has continued to drop, now reaching 64 degrees as the trout season becomes more into season. The largest trout reported this week was 5 lbs. The last trout plant was Oct. 24th from Mt. Lassen. Quite a few striped bass were also caught, keeping the competition high even as the winter season takes hold. Altogether a staggering 10 striped bass were caught this week by different fishermen, the largest was 17 lbs. Fishermen are still catching catfish, small and largemouth bass and even a pike was brought in this week.

The Marina hours are from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The store and the park are now closing one hour earlier. The water temperature is 66 degrees and we are starting to see a lot more trout on angler's hooks. Trout season for Del Valle Lake has officially begun.
