With the beautiful weather Striped Bass, Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass fishing has been amazing. Nightcrawlers, Sardines and Anchovies are the favorite bait. Water temperature is 74 degrees top side. Anglers have been using a variety of bait; PowerBait Eggs in White, Pink and Green along with Berkley Gulp Fkoating Worms in Fluorescent Pink, and Green. PowerBait in White, Rainbow with Glitter, Orange Twist with Glitter, Lemon Twist and PowerBait Corn have been popular.

Catfish bite hot at Del Valle Lake

Our last Catfish plant was 500 lbs. on August 17. Striper and Catfish have been the main catches this week with a few Trout being caught. The water temperature is 74 degrees topside. A large majority of our Anglers have been using anchovies for the Striped Bass and chicken liver for Catfish.
