Kokanee bite is good, but will test your angling skills. The small salmon are scattered throughout the lake, from Carson Cove, Glory Hole point, spillway, Rose Island to south bay to name a few. Last weeks strong winds pushed the plankton near shore, which has forced the bigger Koks on structure 30 to 50 feet deep. No one lure was red hot, but found good results on several. Uncle Larry's pink spinner, glow pink Sock Eye Slammer, R & K Hoochies, and crystal Basin behind Vance's Copper pink spot and copper pink tail brought limits in the 16 inch class. Try using Slim Willies attached to your weight for better attraction. We didn't target Rainbows, but caught some nice bows in the 19 inch range on four mentioned lures. I fished with Ron Wilson, other clients were Doug Phillpott and son John of Modesto and finished the week with Ed Casey and wife Maryanne and son Ed Jr. of Lafayette.
