Trout and salmon bite remains excellent! My clients are catching an average of 40 fish per day, and boxing limits of bows 17 to 18 inches and Kings to 2 to 4 1/2 pounds. Rainbows are holding in depths of 25 to 40 feet deep. Kings are down 50 to 90 feet. Good areas to try is the main lake between Temperance Bay and the dam. Shad pattern Slim Fins, Ex-Cells, Uncle Larry's squid, Crystal Basins wiggle Hoochies or roll shad injected with Pro Cure has produced great action. The catch of the week has to be Doug Philpott of Modesto's fish. Doug boated much to my surprise, an extra large Kokanee. The big guy measured 17 1/2 inches and tipped the scales at 2.7 pounds. Doug's Kok fell for a Uncle Larry's squid, down about 35 feet in the Temperance Bay area. Lake McClure water is clear but still rising. A word of caution, watch out for large floating trees. Surface temp is 68 degrees.
