Fishing for Sacramento wild rainbow trout has been good for bows' 1 to 3 pounds with the occasional large bow 4 to 6 pounds. Best fishing has been from Redding to Red Bluff. Side drifting small glo bugs or crickets has been best bet with light tackle on spin gear. Most hook-ups have been averaging 25 to 40 bows' per outing . Back trolling small Hot shot's in various color combo's have also produced some nice rainbow's as the sun hit's the water. Look for flows to increases to 13,500 cfs early this week and quickly drop back to 9,500 cfs by mid-week. Clients Mitch and Zach Pleis joined guide Dave Jacobs for a great day of rainbow fishing in Redding this past week. Both father and son hooked and released over 20 wild bows' with several fish 3 to 4 pounds. Most fish were caught on small glo bugs with several on small hot shot 50's.

Professional guide service will be guiding for wild rainbow's through June 2007. Both jet boat and drift boat trips available. Trout/shad combo trips May/June 2007.
