In the Upper Kern the trout bite has been steady. Trout have been coming on salmon eggs, jigs, pinched crawlers, and crickets. The Upper Kern was stocked this week again in Section 4; Riverside Park in Kernville to Powerhouse #3. In the Lower Kern River, trout are being reported around Keysville with salmon eggs, trout jigs and spinners. The largemouth and smallmouth bass bite has slowed down with a few fish showing on small reaction baits and small jigs. At the time of reporting, the Upper Kern River was flowing at 267 CFS and the Lower Kern River was flowing at 298 CFS.
