Success Lake dropped to 23 percent of its storage capacity, and bass anglers reported another decent week of fishing. Finesse baits were good for numbers with drop shot, spider jigs, and shaky heads in Aaron’s Magic, watermelon red flake, and green pumpkin working well. As always Senkos took fish too. Reaction baits fooled fish early and late in the day with crankbaits and topwater both producing. Catfish anglers did well in the North Fork using cut mackerel and SSS dip bait. Crappie reports were on the slow side.
