Kaweah Lake fell to 19 percent of its storage capacity, and bass anglers continued to adapt to rapidly falling water levels. Finesse baits in green pumpkin, watermelon, and baitfish took fish in 5 to 25 feet of water. Rocky structure has been the best place to locate biting spotted bass. Weightless Senkos fooled suspended bass, and topwater baits worked for bites closer to shore. Crappie anglers did well with small live minnows and minijigs fished over submerged structure spots. Catfish picked up chicken liver and cut baits off the bottom.
