Water Conditions: ??Fair to good. Lewiston has been fishing fair most days, with a few really good days thrown in when the fish seem hungry. Midge's have been the most productive patterns, but the Callibaetis should be starting soon.

Fishing Conditions & Hatches: ??Lewiston typically fishes very well once spring turns on around mid-March.

Flies: ??GB Poxyback PMD #18, GB Brassies 20, Chromies! Poxy Back Baetis Nymphs 18 -20 , Woolybuggers 6 -10, Poxyback Callibaetis nymph 16-18 Zebra Midges 16-20's * MicroMayfly nymphs!! * #16-20 PT nymphs and don't forget SCUDS! Try a purple string leech to imitate the landlocked lampreys that fish hate.

The Fly Shop's Tips: ??You can't go too small. The takes can be subtle and then the takes can Brutal. Strike on every twitch! Be patient, too, sometimes it takes a long, slow drift to pick up fish. A small yarn indicator is a good tip, take heed and try it.
