Bass fishing was fair at Buena Vista Lakes with anglers reporting tight-lipped largemouth holding tight to cover. Drop shot, stick baits, and crankbaits did entice a few biters with green pumpkin and baitfish colors working the best. Catfish anglers did well on chicken liver, dip bait, and cut sardines. An eight-pound whisker fish was reported out of Lake Webb. Crappie took mini jigs and small crankbaits for kayak anglers, and bluegill ate any live worm under a bobber.

California Aqueduct: The aqueduct has been kicking out good numbers of fish for several months
Castaic Lake: The lake remained at 93 percent of capacity, and water temperatures have been dropping slowly
Pyramid Lake, CA: Pyramid Lake held near 90 percent of capacity, and water temperatures have been in the low to mid-seventies
Lake Isabella: The bass bite improved here this week
Kern River: Here in the Upper Kern the trout fishing has been very good
Lake Kaweah: The lake fell dramatically to 20 percent of capacity, and fishing has been fair
Lake Success: Success Lake fell slightly to 66 percent of capacity and fishing has been hit or miss
River Walk Lakes: Not much has changed here at River Walk
Ming Lake: The bass action keeps improving with the decent weather
Buena Vista Lakes: Anglers reported decent fishing at BV
Hart Park Lake: Once again Hart Park has proven that it can entertain local anglers of all ages and skill levels
Lake Nacimiento: Nacimiento Lake fell to 63 percent of capacity, and anglers reported steady fishing conditions
