The lake fell to 11 percent of capacity, and fishing was fair. Bass anglers who can fish the cooler parts of the day have been rewarded with some good fishing sessions. Otherwise, Success Lake has been tough. Topwater, crankbaits, and finesse plastics were the lures of choice for most anglers. Bass have been chasing shad in the evenings, and anglers who find the feeding fish can really load up. Catfish ate cut anchovies, chicken liver, and dip bait last week.
