What a great week for angler out here. Several catfish between 6-16 pounds were brought in with cut baits. The kids were having a blast catching bluegill off the docks with a simple float and wriggling live worms. Bass of all sizes were being caught with ruby red roboworms, light colored top water frogs, and bright colored buzz baits. I haven’t heard of a good trout catch in close to a month. I am assuming the water has gotten warmer then they like and the bass have eaten most of them. Just an opinion on that however. Hopefully we get another plant in the fall when the weather cools down. Were right about 61% water capacity, praying for rain this winter.

Decent bass hitting off rocky points or in the shallow cove areas. Lake level holding at 62% with very thick weed line surrounding its edges. A few catfish nabbed with nightcrawlers, best one was only 4 pounds. Senkos and top water baits have been a trusty choice. I haven’t heard of a trout catch in a couple week, water may be too warm. A bunch of sightings for a baby and medium sized black bear. ...... Read More
