Meateater host Ryan “Cal” Callaghan joins Sacramento River salmon fishing guide Dave Jacobs for a morning of salmon fishing to discuss the health and future of the Sacramento River watershed and its beloved king salmon. The Meateater crew captured some of the the most beautiful scenery and wildlife that the Sacramento River has to offer including a exciting jet boat tour through the famous Sacramento River canyon and China rapids!  Dave and Ryan also took some time to fish for the Sacramento River Fall run kings and boxed Ryan’s salmon limit quickly. The entire Sacramento River salmon fishing sections are now open and Dave Jacobs Professional Guide Service continues to take reservations for any sized group to come experience what the Meateater crew fished anytime in August,September and October. The salmon are running very big this season with several king salmon 29 to 31 pounds already boated with Dave Jacobs since July 16th.
