Yesterday was another great day on The Sacramento River and Justin had his clients into some really nice trout first thing in the morning.  We saw a big weather system push through yesterday so we had to deal with wind and rain in the Redding valley.  As is often the case, weather can affect the bite, especially during windy weather.  Frankly, I dont enjoy any sort of fishing in big winds, but when guiding you can't always pick the days you fish.  Being at the mercy af client schedules is challenging, but we're always up for a challenge and give our clients 100% effort every day we're on the water.  Someimes the big trout drop their guard during stormy conditions and we'll often take advantage of those opportunities.  The Sacramento River is no exception, and many trophy trout have been landed during tough weather days.  This system thats moving through is certainly an inconvenience, but its going to move through fairly quickly and we'll be back on 80-90 degree days looking ahead.  The river is prime and we'll surely see a bump in flows soon which gives us more water to cover and more fish to catch in June!
