GENERAL CONDITIONS

Lake Chabot is 100% FULL! We are expecting a few nice days this upcoming week, temperatures are expected to be in low 70’s. Our current water level is at 101%. Overall fishing has been great. Our last trout plant was on April 5th, we planted 1,000 lbs. next to the marina. Water temperature remains in the 50’s and water clarity is about 7 feet. We are expecting another trout plant later this week. Please follow our Facebook page, www.facebook.com/lakechabot, for daily updates on fishing conditions.

All of our boats are half off Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays, including Patio Boats!!

CATFISH

No reports of catfish were reported getting caught this past week. Typically catfish fishing is slow this time of year. We will begin to plant catfish in the summer when the water temperature increases.

TROUT

Overall trout fishing has been AMAZING! Both bait fishing as well as trolling has worked really well for anglers. Fishing on both shorelines has been producing both limits and whoppers. Anglers fishing from shore are using a variety of PowerBait.

BASS

Bass fishing has begun to pick up. This time of year bass tend to be on their beds spawning. Using plastic worms has been the most productive. Please practice catch and release for bass, as they are not stocked into the lake and their population depends on you!
