The weather this week has fluctuated from day to day. Cloud coverage and decent temperatures makes for some great fishing. The water temperature is sitting at a cool 59 degrees.

It's fishing time up at Lake Del Valle with all species being caught right now. Trout are hanging out in the narrows and the south end; anglers are catching them on rainbow powerbait and mice tails.

Striper and Catfish are in the lower and upper narrows eating anchovies, nightcrawlers and sardines. You might also be able to get a Striper on a hair raiser jig or chatterbait.

Anglers of the week:

Saul Rivera of San Jose caught 2 Striper on anchovies in the lower narrows Kenny Khu of Livermore caught 2 catfish on anchovies in swallow bay Armin Avdic of San Jose caught 5 trout on mice tails from east beach.

Gary Elizarrey of Hayward caught 2 Striper on anchovies in the narrows Chavita of Menlo Park caught 'I striper on anchovies in the narrows Wyane Smith of Livermore caught one striper on sardines in the narrows.
