The bass bite is still good here, as most fish are up on the banks. Swimbaits, glide baits and top waters have been working early and late, while drop shotting has been getting bit during the day. Red ear are on beds on shallow points, red worms, and mealworms under a float has been the most productive technique. Crappie have been elusive, although some anglers reported some decent catches around the docks in White Oak. Catfish action was led by Janell Newson of Pasadena, with a 14.5 blue that fell for a red worm on the rocky bank just north of the marina.
