Lake level is 51% full and rising. Edges are opening up and the ice is "soft." There are small amounts of open water in the Mallard Cove and Coot Bay areas. Fishing was slow the last couple of days. It will be a few days or so until there is enough open water for fishing. The road along the East side of the lake is open. The West side is still has deep snow in a lot of areas. Yesterday a vehicle plowed through and got stuck at Freeman, the rescue vehicle got stuck at Camp 5. The dirt roads are very muddy. The mud is deep and you run the risk of getting stuck.
