GENERAL CONDITIONS Trout fishing is usually great here at Chabot, but despite several trout plants fishing remains slow. A couple limits were caught about 3 weeks ago. Water temperature remains in the low 50 and water clarity is about 3 feet visibility. All of our boats are half off Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays! Lake Chabot in Castro Valley, CA is ready for the President’s Weekend Holiday. We just got stocked with a nice load of trout. Just in time for a long weekend we got 750 pounds of nice size trout.
