The bass bite went wide open earlier in the week, as many anglers had "the best day of bass fishing ever". Some anglers reported as many as 20 quality largemouth a day on "anything that looks like a shad!" Crappie action also broke open, but not quite like the bass, but fishing for the slabs still rated as very good by those targeting them. The catfish were left alone last week, as most people were after bass, and crappie. It was last known that cut mackerel fished around the swimming pool cove, or in White Oak was the best bet.
