The bass bite has been described as "inconsistent at best" as most anglers struggled last week. The lakes grebe, cormorant, and pelican population has been working over the shad in the early morning, which should provide some action for both largemouth, and crappie. A few catfish came out of the White Oak area on cut mackerel. All other species went unreported.

The pressure is off. We are not seeing many anglers. The bass are biting a bit. We are getting them on jigs and rip baits. We have seen some Crappie biting. I would say the Crappie fishing is fair. Not much changed here from last week, still some bass coming in on rip baits, and jigs fished around rocky areas of the lake. A few incidental crappie were caught, but no one has been targeting them as of late.
