Water temperature was 72 degrees. The week for fishing has been fair, minus the weather keeping people away, a few anglers trying there luck have gotten a mixed bag of bass and blue gills all over the lake. The bass this week have been hitting on a mix of night crawlers and plastics and a few on lipless and rattle traps. The area of white oaks seemed to be the best spot with a 5.5 lb large mouth being caught off a senko. Average bass been caught had beer about 2.5 to 3lb size. Rocky outcrops have been the best place to try but weed beds with drop offs near by have been working for drop shooting. The Blue gill bite is decent along with the crappie bite with nightcrawlers and crappie jigs working the best tipped with crappie nibbles for extra scent. The area of white oak and outside Blinn Bay being the go to spot around the marina. Still a few catfish being pulled as well.

But with temps in the 90's forecast for this week, things should improve. The few crappies that were caught came from main lake points on mini jigs tipped with crappie nibbles. Most bass were suspended chasing shad, and spinner baits, traps, and swim jigs managed to get a few fish. No...... Read More
