Almanor bite scattered
Lake Almanor - CA (Plumas County)

Temps are 61.5 degrees in the morning, rising to 64 degrees by 3:00 pm. Clarity is good in the east basin, about 10 to 11.5 feet., depending where you are. Clarity in the shallower west basin is less, about 6 to 8 feet and improving.
Most boat have been trolling, very few guys bait fishing on anchor. The boats on anchor are working Rec. 2, A-Frame, and Big Springs. All these place have springs nearby, and fish will be moving in and out of these spots. Hit it right and it’s good. Salmon eggs, mealworms and crickets if you can find them. Boats are scattered all around the east basin, with the majority working popular well known lanes like Big Springs, Rec.1 to the A-Frame, Canyon Dam and the entire east shore. Smaller groups of bait fish are also scattered at the north end of the east basin, and fish are in pursuit. Larger schools of smelt can be found as you head south toward Canyon Dam. No real hot spots, hits are random, however our best, and most hook ups came after 9:00 am rather than earlier.
