Water temperature is 67 degrees. Trout bite has been slow. A plant went in last week and another 1,000 pounds went in this week. Most stripers are 15 to 18 inches. They’re plentiful, but it’s hard to hook keepers. A striper derby begins Oct. 1. Register at the Marina. Cost is $5. (925) 371-2628
