Lake Almanor Fish Report for 9-9-2015
Fish later for bigger fish at Almanor
Lake Almanor - CA (Plumas County)
by Nor Cal Fish Reports
9-9-2015
Surface temps around 64 degrees midday. Clarity about 15 feet in the east basin, much less in the west, where it is about 4 feet.Avoid the west side for a week in till that water clears up. The bite in the east basin is not hot, but warming up nicely. Most boats are working the east basin from Canyon Dam along the east shore, up to the Hamilton Branch and into Big Springs where there are a lot of baitfish. Even though we catch a couple before the sun hits the water, the bigger fish have been coming after 8 am this week. Fish have been coming from 10 feet. down early, to 28 feet by mid-morning, before dropping down deeper as the sun climbs. Doug Neal: (530) 258-6732 http://www.almanorfishingadventures.com
