There’s a good crappie bite in the straits. Crappie jigs will work, color doesn’t matter. Vary your depth. A lot are one pounds, some go to two pounds, a few three pounders have been landed. Am 11 pound bass was caught Tuesday by an angler fishing for crappie with a jig. Bass bite has been decent near the marina and Vaca Flats. (805) 438-1522
