Trout Fishing
The trout bite has slowed down to a crawl. Fish closer to the Dam where the water is much cooler. The last plant of trout was on 6-24-15 we will try to plant in between now and the start of fall if the water temperatures will allow.

Catfish Fishing
The catfish bite has increased with the warmer weather and the fact that we started planting catfish. Catfish bite on night-crawlaers, chicken livers, anchovies, and baits that are stinky fish on the bottom.

Crappie Fishing
The crappie bite is on and the best locations are down the middle of scow canyon and at the boat launch area.

Bass Fishing
Nothing new to report.

Fish Plant: We did not plant Catfish this week

Fish Tales
Bill Nishi of Richmond caught a 6.8 lb bass using night crawlers fishing at the main rec on Tuesday 8-4-15

Larry Caballero of Hayward caught a 8.93 lb catfish using anchovies at the main rec.

Mike Yess of San Jose caught a 10 lb catfish on Thursday 8-13-15 no location or bait given.

Derby
There is almost no Trout being caught

Park Information
The San Pablo Reservoir Recreation Area is now open for season with the hours during August being 6:00am to 7:30 pm and boats need to be off the water by 6:30 pm. The Boat Launch area is open 7 days a week with snacks, drinks and tackle available. The Café is also open 6 days of the week from 9:00 – 3:30 so visitors can get some delicious food.

Trout Fishing The trout bite is still on use the sliding sinker rig and night crawlers or power-bait works good also. Using a lure is also working well right now fish with a fire-tiger kast-master or rapala J-7. The pines has been a good spot for trout the last 2 weeks.
