Rainbows are still the story here at Lake Camanche. Favorite baits reported this week were garlic, chartreuse power bait, Senko lure, and rattle trap bass/shad imitation.

Hot fishing spots this week were near Hat Island, North Shore Day Use Areas, down the narrows and the pond.

Current lake level as of 4/7/15 is 27% and 51.46′ below the spill level. Pardee is currently releasing 11 cfs while Camanche is releasing 222 cfs.

Jake Murray of Willits reeled in this 10.42 lb. trout from the pond on Sunday 4/5 using garlic, chartreuse power bait.

Jason C. of Livermore hauled in this 8.48 lb. trout while fishing the North Shore Day Use Area using a Senko lure on Saturday 4/4.

Jerry Schmieres and friend of Lodi brought in this 10.7 lb trout last Saturday 4/4. They were fishing out near Hat Island.

Seven year old Gavyn Satake of Galt getting help holding this stringer of trout on 4/3 that were caught off a North shore island. The largest weighed in at 3.3 lbs.

9 year old Gabreilla shown here with her proud dad, Mark Orland of Ione. Her 7.36 lb. catfish was brought in using power bait while fishing the North Shore Day Use Area cove on 4/3.

All 1,200 lbs of Mt. Lassen Trout were delivered Tuesday 4/7 to the North shore launch ramp due to rainy conditions. Another 1,200 lbs are scheduled to be delivered next week.

Catfish are biting this week. Sheila of El Dorado was fishing the dam area for bass 7′ down using a senko lure when she hauled up this 17.1 lb catfish. Mt. Lassen Trout farm planted 1,400 lbs of trout to the South Shore Tout Pond, Children's Pond and South shore ramp on Friday 3/20. Another 1,200 lbs are scheduled for delivery this week. Lake Conditions Lake Camanche's current elevation is 182.99 as of 3/24/15. Water temperature at the launch ramp is approximately 65 degrees and the lake is 28% full.
