Do we want rain? Yes of course we do and it looks like a warm storm is arriving tonight and will give us a fair amount of water between Friday night and Monday. The lake is approx. 30′ down so every bit will help although the fishing has been great anyway. Our first private plant arrived last week and our second private plant will be here next week. As for this week, we are on the F & G plant schedule but that plant has not arrived yet.

Chris Turner hooked his trout from shore down by the dam using PowerBait. Patrick Golly of Roseville happened to be trolling a Kastmaster near the dock when he hooked into and netted his 5 lb. Rainbow trout. Rick Cox from Lincoln also trolled but with a dodger and worm, he caught a 4 lb. trout along the east bank.

Anthony Crawford from Chico & his sidekick, Cody Baker from Concow ripped some lips on their day on the lake! Their two trout limits were ALL HUGE fish. They trolled with either a Needlefish or a Rapala and not very deep, they started down by the dam and ended up in the mouth towards the bridge. The biggest fish on their stringer was 5 pound trout and a 5-3/4 lb. trout but they all looked to be 3 lbs. and UP!!
