Trout bite is very good and bass bite is starting to pick up. Indian Cove and Bullfrog Landing are the two best spots for shore anglers. Rainbow or chartreuse Power Bait are the top offerings. Some get limits. Big fish of the week was a 6.1 pound trout caught by Dominic of Castro Valley, who was casting from the shore at Alder Point. Trolling in Half Moon Bay has been productive. Gold Kastmasters are popular. Bass are starting to get active. An 8.5 pound bass was caught this week by Kristin Major of Castro Valley who was using swimbaits near the islands. Major also a caught a 6.2 pounder. Both were released. (510) 247-2526
