Great action is to be had here on Lake Don Pedro, if it’s rainbows, kokanee or landlocked king salmon
there all here and on a great bite. Rainbows can be found in most open water, try Mexican Gulch, Fleming bay
or the open water of Middle Bay. Slim Willies in tandem with a night crawler is a good choice or most 4/0 dodgers
and a small silver spoon such as an Ex-Cel lure with put you in striking distance of these active bows when trolled in the 20 – 40’
water column. Kokanee bite also remains strong, look for these feisty fish at depths from 45’ to 90’ in the Fleming Creek area, or
in the waters off Graveyard Creek, also located schools of kokes off Copper Mtn. Uncle Larry’s spinners, Marni Bugs or Vance’s Sock Eye Slammers
very effective this past week. For scent Pautzke’s “Can O Corn” continues to be a proven winner for scenting such lures.
King Salmon are prowling the deeper waters in the river channel off Hatch Creek and in the canyon off Six Bit Gulch, work depths from 100’ on down,
rolling shad or anchovies for these fish in the three plus pounds range.
