The North Coast Rivers are all running low and clear. They will remain that way until that area gets some rain. Once the rivers come into shape, we will see an influx of salmon and some early steelhead. Steelhead fishing has been good on the Upper Trinity, while the Klamath estuary and the area near the 101 Bridge have been best for river salmon.

Locally, the bite for bluegill perch has been great at Westlake pond. Bring the kids and some worms for fun catch and release action. A good number of juvenile largemouth bass are biting at Westlake as well.
