Striper bite is improving here. Bass are deep and it takes spoons jigged vertically 60 to 80 feet deep near the trash racks to hook one. Winner of the Coyote Bait & Tackle striper derby was Art Garcia of San Jose with a 48-inch, 34-pound bass from the Delta. (408) 463-0711
