Trout, kokanee and king salmon are biting well. Work the surface down to 25 feet for rainbows in Mexican Gulch or off Big Oak Island. Trout are hitting Slim Willies and a nightcrawler trolled down to 10 feet or run small shad lures from 15- to 25- feet for rainbows to two pounds. Kokanee bite can be found in the Graveyard Bay or off Copper Mountain from 25- to 40-feet deep. Sockeye Slammers, hoochies or pink spinners tipped with garlic scented corn get kokes to 15 inches. Kings are on a good bite here off Hatch Creek or try working the open water in Fleming Bay at depths from 60- to 120-feet deep. Some salmon have weighed six pounds.
