Our local mountain jewel Loch Lomond ends its yearly season after September 15. Trout, even an occasional limit are being caught by early morning trollers. The best bet, however, are the largemouth bass in the lake. A local bass angler informs us that largemouth up to eight pounds each are in their post-spawn mode right now, hitting topwater plugs and providing tons of action for anglers working the tule edges of Loch Lomond.
