Fishing has slowed down with the heat wave that came around, but the Stripers were still boiling. The water temperature is 72 degrees and clarity is good with five foot visibility. A little bit if Catfish but they went quiet, you can try Anchovies or Chicken Livers around the Dam, Heron Bay or maybe the Narrows. As for Stripers, they will boil in the Narrows, South End, or the Dam on top waters or jerk baits. Smallmouth are biting a little more on jerk baits, soft plastics or crank baits. Try along reed lines, rock walls or anything home to the Smallies. Largemouth will also bite on soft plastics or small swimbaits in the South End or Narrows. There was a plant of 2500 lbs of Trout from DFW and good luck to you all.

The bait balls of shad are being seen throughout the lake and they are very decent size shad. Although fishermen are still catching stripers on anchovies or chicken livers around Heron Bay, the Dam, or Narrows...... Read More
