Come to the Hot Rod Heaven Car Show her next weekend 8am till 4pm, see www.pardeelakerecreation.com for details. Warm weather to continue again this weekend and beyond with gentle breezes and the possibility of some high clouds thought next week. ALL launch ramp facilities and Park services still currently available.

The Marina reports very few fishermen on the banks last week. Higher temperatures and warm water in the Recreation Area are contributing factors. We suspect some anglers are fishing Woodpile early in the morning but don't stop by the Marina to share info. Power Bait, chartreuse with sparkles, eggs with garlic, orange and pink mouse tails along with night crawlers on a sliding sinker or a half full water bubble all have all been successful to this point.

Trolling for Kokanee continues to be the best upstream. Fish remain in deeper water and are still at the 50 to 100 feet levels where it's cooler. Kokanee are exhibiting some early stage color change as they begin their transformation. Trollers are using Apex, Hoochies, (green and pink) along with the standard beaded spinners, Uncle Larry's pinkies and white/pink hoochies, all behind medium size silver and purple dodgers.

The Catfish bite remains decent. Try the warmer cove areas from Mel's all the way down to Rattlesnake and upstream as well. Power bait, night crawlers, stinky chicken livers are all popular with our whiskered friends.

Bass fishing has also been good around coves and rocky points all along the eastern side of the Lake. Sounds like plastic white worms and crank baits are working well.

Lake Level is currently at 82% of capacity and holding, in the near future look for the level to drop some as water is released into Comanche Reservoir once again. Water temperature is currently 72 degrees at 20 feet and 78 at the surface; clarity is good to 17 feet plus.

Lake Pardee Recreation has planted a total of 24,000 pounds of fish for the season so far.

Warm again this weekend and all next week with temperatures in the low 90's with gentle breezes and the possibility of some high clouds. ALL launch ramp facilities and Park services still currently available. Fishing still difficult in the Recreation Area last week, two contributing factors are warm water and otters and their young competing for fish. Woodpile may be the best bet once again, cooler temps and deeper water are the primary advantages in this area. Power Bait, chartreuse...... Read More
