Loch Lomond is surprisingly consistent for this late in the season. A reader reported decent trout fishing at the lake last week, with nice stringers for those that started early and stuck it out. The best results were had by trolling nightcrawlers or flatfish lures for limits or near-limits by noon. ??
For easy fishing in town, the bluegill are still on the bite at Westlake Pond, and Antonelli's Pond on the West Side of town is always a good bet for bluegill or largemouth bass.
