John Barakos Sr. from Lafayette Ca. got together with son John Barakos Jr. and his grandson Yani Barakos, 14 yrs old, who is pictured here with his dad John Jr.with his first ever 28 pound chrome bright king salmon caught on a sardine wrapped Kwikfish. Backbouncing K-16 kwikfish was what it took to take this nice salmon in early August. The Barako's group was fishing with guide Dave Jacobs of Professional guide service near Corning, Ca. hooking five salmon and landing three on that day. Salmon fishing on the upper reaches of the Sacramento River is improving everyday and will build through October.
