Salmon fishing on the Sacramento River is now open from the Deschutes bridge near Anderson, Ca. all the way downstream as of August 1st. Salmon fishing couldn't be better for Jim Mundel of Shingletown, Ca. and John Rinaldi from Mt. View, Ca. shown here with their double hook-ups of twin 34 pound king salmon. Jim and John's big kings hit K-16 Kwikfish while back bouncing with guide Dave Jacobs of Professional guide service on August 2 downstream from Red Bluff diversion dam. The duo went on to limit out with two kings each that day ranging from 22 to 34 pounds.
