The San Pablo Reservoir Recreation Area is now open for the season with the hours being 06:30AM to 05:00PM and boats off the water by 04:00PM. The Boat Launch area is open 7 days a week with snacks and drinks available. The cafe is also open 6 days if the week from 09:00AM to 03:00PM so visitors can get some hot food. February 18th, Mt. Lassen planted 2,250 pounds of Trout. 10% were trophy sized trout. The water temp has been around 53 degrees and the water elevation has risen to 293.5 ft. Trout are being caught from the shoreline near the Main Recreation Area the Pines. Boaters have been having the best luck at the Rock Wall, Farrells Landing, and Scow Canyon. Power-Bait for the Trout such as Chartreuse, Rainbow and Garlic have been working as well as the Mice tails and Night Crawlers inflated. The water is still muddy from the rains so using strong scented baits is best. The Broken-Back Fire-Tiger Rapala, Mepps, and Kastmasters are being used to catch trout on the troll.
