Pardee Lake Recreation Area will close and lock the gate for this season next weekend on Sunday November 3rd. The Park will reopen for the 2014 season Thursday February 13th for camping and the 14th for fishing.
The best spots continue to be Stony Point Landing, Porcupine, Rainbow and Blue Heron Points throughout the week. Cooler water temperatures have drawn some trout back into the Recreation areas recently. Night crawlers, Power Eggs and Power Bait in yellow and white with garlic are the most successful offerings currently. Sliding sinker cast about 30' out works well for the Power Bait and a water bobber for the night crawlers.
Trolling for trout has remained much the same as last report Try the Narrows in the vicinity of Mel's Cove as well as the area between the River Mouth and the Face of the Dam. Most are trolling at 20 to 30 feet, spinning lures and a dodger or small flashers. No news or reports on Kokanee lately, however lures and depths for Kokanee will remain the same, use Uncle Larry's copper pops and pinkies along with wedding rings, apex and sling blades behind silver/gold or watermelon dodgers at 100 to 120 feet. Check at the Marina for all your fishing supplies, snacks and updated fishing information and hot spots. Some boaters continue to tie off in coves and bait fish from their boats with good results.
The Management Team and the Staff would to take this opportunity to thank all our Visitors, Guests, Patrons, Residents and Friends for another great season and hope you all return next year to share and enjoy this awesome facility and its surroundings. We hope your off season is prosperous, healthy and safe and we look forward to seeing all our old Friends and lots of new ones at next year's opener...

Pardee ReservoirSee the website for further information and registration forms. Quiet again last week on the banks around the Recreation Area, did see a few folks this morning on the bank opposite the EBMUD dock over on Stony Point Landing and Blue Heron point. No news from the Woodpile but it's still worth a check if other areas are not productive. Sliding sinker cast about 30' out works well in this area. The baits of choice have remained unchanged; anglers working...... Read More
