I fished different parts of the river the last 3 days looking for pods of fish. I did find a pod of fish one day and got one short pull down and saw two caught but that was about it. The fish were a little dark for this time of year so they are holding a little lower in the river before moving up. The pod of fish I found on Saturday were gone on Sunday. I have reports out of Tehama and Red bluff of very slow fishing since the opener with an occasional fish being caught. It is still very early and we should be getting some fresh fish in the next two to three weeks so we will keep on fishing until we get into them and then we will fish some more.
