Temperatures to reach the century mark by the weekend otherwise clear skies, cool evenings and gentle breezes.

Bank fishermen did well during the Holiday weekend; night crawlers were the most successful bait according to the Marina. Not many anglers during the week, I saw a few this mornings at the "Mud Hole" at the rear of the EBMUD boathouse, Rainbow and Blue Herron Points. The Woodpile was also been producing so that deserves a try as well. The anglers working the banks are using Power Bait (eggs or worms) with garlic and glitter. Pistol Pete's and Mouse (mice) Tails, in addition pink Power Worms and night crawlers on a water bobber have been successful lately.

Trollers continue to concentrate in the South end of the Lake adjacent to the intake tower and the River Arm up to Columbia Gulch. Saw a couple of nice limits of Trout brought in this morning. Kokanee have been showing up but not in great numbers and a bit on the small size. The fish are hanging a bit deeper with the warming surface temperatures, most have dropped down to 40 to 60 feet. The winning combos have been beaded spoon type spinners in red, pink and rainbow and Apex lures with night crawlers or scented corn behind medium flashers or medium size dodgers in red, blue, and chrome. Check at the Marina for all your fishing supplies, snacks, updated fishing information and hot spots.

Bass info has been sketchy; those willing to share have been doing well with top water lures and crank baits. There was some working the River arm near exposed rock edges all along the shore, and some other activity at the South end opposite the intake.

Look for catfish in the River arm and the southern coves sounds like they have begun to move into the coves that are warming up from Mel's cove to Rattlesnake. Chicken livers Power Bait and night crawlers are the baits of choice.

Recent success stories: Caitlin (a Pardee resident) and her mysterious unidentified companion bagged this nice 4lb. stringer of Trout in the River Arm last weekend. Congratulations Ladies-well done. Water level has remained about the same since last report and is now about 8-10 feet below the spillway and is inching upward. Water temperatures are still in the mid 60's at the Marina this morning. Water clarity is good to about 15' plus in the Marina.

Pardee Lake Recreation has planted a total of 21,000 lbs. of Rainbow Trout as of this report.

The California Department of Fish and Game has also planted 2,000 lbs. of Trout to date for a grand total of 23,000 lbs.
