Trout fishing or Bass fishing have been fair to good at San Pablo Reservoir

Lake Hours: 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
Boats must be off the Water: 6:00 PM
Boat Launch Area is Open: 7 days a week with snacks and drinks available
Last Plant: 1,080 lbs. of catchable trout and 120 lbs. of Trophy Trout from Mt. Lassen on April 23rd. Department of Fish & Game planted 2,000 lbs. of trout of Thursday April 25, 2013 Water Temperature: 64 degrees
The trout bite has been good and are being caught from the shoreline near the Main Recreation Area the Pines and across the other side at Sandy Point, Graveyard Cove in Scow Canyon or from the shoreline at the boat Lauch area as well. PowerBait has worked well for Trout. The best colors have been Chartreuse, Rainbow and Spring Green. Mice Tails and inflated nightcrawlers have also worked. If you want to troll try Broken-Back Fire-Tigers, Panther Martins, and Clowns have been working the best.
Bass fishermen have been using Drop-shots and top water lures or chatter baits have all been good. Catfish have been biting on nightcrawlers, anchovies or shrimp in the Boat Lauch shoreline area.
