Fishing is still great at the reservoir. Our last trout plant was on Tuesday March 26th for 1,000 lbs of rainbow trout from Mt. Lassen. Our next trout plant is scheduled for the week of April 1st for 2,000 lbs of rainbow trout fish and game. The Southend and the Eastend is still the sweet spot for fishing.

The OSCC fishing derby is on Saturday April 20th at the Lafayette Reservoir. Don't trust your indicator... Takes aren't terribly aggressive. Focus on the deeper water, not too many trout are the shallows right now. To catch the fish you have to keep moving don't stay in one place.

The bass are getting ready to spawn so we should see a lot more of those being caught soon. The waters will have bass flooding into the shallows for the spawn. During the spawn plastic worms work best. We prefer that you catch and release the bass since they're nesting here. Were keeping the waters stocked with excellent fish so many fisherman are coming back with of limits of nice fish, along with the chance at a trophy fish. On March 30TH Fisherman caught there limits of trout and bass on the southend off the bank.
