FISHING REPORT
Trout fishing is picking up on both sides of the lake, mostly from boaters using various types of lures. Power baits, power eggs, and night crawlers are still good choices.
Robbie Dunham of Galt (in photo at the top) caught a nice stringer with his largest fish weighing in at 7.36 lbs while fishing by Big Hat Island using a Rapala Lure.
Carlos Flores Jr. of Elk Grove caught a 3.49lb trout out at the North shore Day Use area while using glitter rainbow power bait.
Dan Jones and Arianna Bunting, Photo #1 of Castro Valley caught a 3 fish stringer with their largest weighing in at 4.69 lbs while fishing the Narrows using speedy shiners.
Steven Riche of Burson caught a 7.16 lb trout out of the South shore trout pond while using a Kastmaster.
We also had Eric Fisher and friend of Sacramento catch a bass out of the main lake using a rooster tail.
You can view pictures of the catches in our photo gallery, on Facebook page, or on the marina store wall where they were caught.
