Last Plant: December 27, 1,000 lbs. of Trout were planted including many 2 to 3 pounders.
Water Temperature: 45 degrees
This week at the lake is rather chilly. The water temperature is down to 45 degrees and the air starts out in the 30's. By noon the temperature will be around 50, which is perfect for trout. The trout are biting egg/worm combos, PowerBait, PowerWorms and small shad like lures. Fly fishing has been very productive.
Stripers are also active. They are biting rainbow trout swimbait and anchovies. Catfish are starting to bit again on anchovies or anything stinky. The water clarity has gotten better and the lake has settled down a bit. Black Bass are hitting jigs and swimbait. Smallmouth have been few and far between. Crappie are being caught on road runners and small Crappie jigs.
