Fish Plants:
Mt. Lassen Trout delivered 600 lbs to the South shore pond and 600 lbs to the South shore ramp on Wednesday, November 21st.
Fishing Report:
We are starting to get more reports of trout catches between the trout pond and the main lake. Most anglers fishing the main lake are getting hits off the shore. Planter fish tend to stay closer to the surface and near the shorelines while holdover fish (from last year) are still in deeper water (about 40ft +\-). This week we had Dillon Audtray of Valley Springs catch a nice 3.84 lb trout out of the South shore trout pond while using a lure. Jordan Bozeman, a North shore Camanche resident, caught a 9.80 lb trout up river using S-Wavers. Sam Skinner of Sunnyvale caught a 5.87lb trout by Houseboat Cove using spinner bait.
We also had more tagged trout caught this week! Camanche resident Jesse Kelly caught tagged fish #081 bank fishing from the North shore Day Use Point with red power bait. Shawn Beckerly of El Dorado Hills caught tagged fish #066 near the North shore Day Use area using a krippler & rapala lure. Bryan Dunlap of Citrus Heights caught tagged fish #095 and David & Christine Heckler caught tagged fish #077, no mention of location or bait used on their catches. Congratulations to all our anglers!
